IRS ( Integrated Reception Systems)

An aerial and satellite antenna array fitted for and IRS system
IRS is a Aerial & Satellite system that is connected into one or several distribution units. The aerial & satellite signals & radio if required are then all distributed down one cable. At each & every property an aerial / satellite socket is fitted that separates these signals back out so the relevant aerial & satellite signals can connect to the relevant appliances being freeview - sky - or BBC freesat.

On communal aerial & satellite systems it is now standard practice to have installed two number of cables at each & every aerial /combined satellite socket - On satellite decoders there are two number of incoming connections - the 1st cable is used for viewing purposes & the second cable is used for recording. The correct aerial / satellite cabling must be used - this must be of high grade & benchmarked approved. The aerial & satellite dish should also be of high grade as this has an impact on what is distributed. Cheap inferior materials on aerial & satellite communal systems means the signal losses areAerial and satellite signal distribution point greater especially at the far end locations & can be subject to unwanted interference which means you as the customer has to bear the problem. You will also find that the system will not be as reliable and there will be numerous calls between you and the installing company.
